What we’re watching:

5 10 2006

A few months ago, many of us first watched Kiri Davis’s short film, “A Girl Like Me”, which included a re-creation of the doll experiments measuring self-esteem of black children.  A couple of days ago Kiri Davis and Leonard Pitts, a columnist for the Miami Herald who was moved by the piece into writing some articles on the topic, were interviewed on NPR’s Talk of the Nation. Here’s a link to the interview –  this page also includes a link to “A Girl Like Me” — heartbreaking, and important to see.
